Tuition and curriculum-fees free Fellowship for a MS or MBA/MS at UMass Amherst's McCormack Department of Sport Management Program
Fellowship Details and Eligibility Requirements
The SEEN-McCormack Graduate Fellowship will provide SEEN community members:
Scholarship funding that fully covers tuition and fees associated with the program and a graduate assistantship:
*Graduate assistantship provides a stipend for ten (10) hours of work in an assigned position (e.g., teaching assistant) per week for each semester of the program- MS program is two semesters and the MBA/MS program is four semesters
The following fees are NOT included in the SEEN-McCormack Graduate Fellowship and must be borne by recipients directly:

Costs of required summer internship credit which must be secured through UMass Continuing and Professional Education
Travel and lodging costs to attend mandatory on-campus interview during the application process
Note: Recipients may, but are not obligated to use their graduate assistantship stipend to cover the cost of any or all the excluded fees.
Note: MBA/MS dual-degree students must earn six summer internship credits between year one and two, the cost of which is approximately $1,400 total; MS degree students earn three summer internship credits following completion of their regular coursework in May, the cost of which is approximately $725 total.
Scholars Award Eligibility
To apply for the SEEN-McCormack Graduate Fellowship, you must be a current SEEN community member (currently on the SEEN email distribution list) at the time of application and if accepted by the McCormack Department of Sport Management and if awarded to you, through the duration of the graduate degree program.
The Isenberg School of Management and McCormack Department of Sport Management at UMass Amherst are highly ranked, and admission is highly competitive. All candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications:
A minimum of one year of professional work experience gained after the completion of undergraduate studies is preferred. Professional work experience does not need to be within the sports industry
A professional identifying with one or more of the following groups: Black or African American, Hispanic, Latinx, or Spanish, Native American or American Indian.
The GMAT/GRE test score requirement is waived for SEEN applicants.
